Dick Schenkel

Dick leads the firm’s general management, consumer and direct marketing, audience development and live-event management practices. He has spent much of his career at Koller Search Partners leading searches in which operational expertise—running P&L—is key, working closely with CEO and executive management clients of evolving B2B information companies, iconic magazine brands and pure-play digital brands. He has been instrumental in closing CEO, Chief Digital Officer, SVP/Show Director and President searches nationwide.                             

Prior to joining Koller Search Partners in 1994, Dick was co-founder of a national sports newsletter company, Tennis Player. Earlier in his career, he held editorial positions at Hearst Business Magazine and The (Bergen) Record, and his work as a freelance journalist has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, Publishers Weekly and The (NY) Daily News Magazine.

Dick earned an MBA in Management from the Stern School of Business of New York University and a BA in sociology from Washington University in St. Louis. In his spare time, Dick enjoys all that New York City has to offer with his wife. He is a die-hard San Francisco Giant fan, and an avid tennis player.
